Peachland's Annual World of Wheels

 

Every Sunday on the long week-end in May Peachland hosts it's annual antique car show which has in excess of 200 entrants and all of Downtown Peachland is on display. People come from Alberta , the Kootenays , Washington , Idaho and Oregon as well as all parts of B.C.

Families spend a wonderful day on the adjacent beach enjoying food stands , face painting , and an amazing array of antique and classic cars and boats.

Each year the show gets bigger and bigger , last years attendance was between 3500 and 5000 people and is a wonderful event!!

Peachland Water Sports

Everything you need to enjoy the water from this family run business. Currently our rental fleet consists of Yamaha Wave Runners, sixteen foot Fourwinns bow riders, eighteen foot Fourwinns bow riders and, our latest addition, the twenty-one foot Sea Ray which can seat up to eleven passengers. We also have all the toys to go with a boat ride as well: wet suits, life jackets, skis, Wake boards, tubes...you name it, we probably have it.

 

 

 

KETTLE VALLEY STEAM RAILWAY

The Kettle Valley Steam Railway offers a unique ninety-minute journey on one of British Columbia's few remaining fully operational steam railways. Passengers enjoy a tour along a preserved ten-kilometre section of the original Kettle Valley Railway constructed between 1910 and 1915. Click to enlargeThe locomotive, a 1924 Shay steam engine, pulls two 1950's passenger coaches and the Kettle and Valley Kars (open air). Friendly, informative guides bring the history of the railway alive as the train chugs along hillsides overlooking beautiful Okanagan orchards and vineyards. The Trout Creek Bridge, which spans the canyon at 238 feet above the water, was the highest bridge built on the original KVR line and can be viewed from the southern terminus of the railway, Canyon View Siding.
